If you are new to our poker school, this is the format we play to:
8:00 start. If you arrive after and not registered on website, email or called another player to buy you in, you are not guaranteed to play. Tables need to be set at 8:00 or the tournament tables are unbalanced. 15 minute blinds first three levels. Break after 45 minutes. 3000 chips to start. No re-buys and no add- ons. Blinds start at 25 / 50 up to 4000 / 8000 to ensure we finish at 11.45 p.m. Chip count for final positions when the Tournament clock hits 11:45 p.m. Players responsibility to watch timer, play stops after the round AT THIS TIME. Points structure: 1 point for turning up. 2 points in top 16 (32 runners or less) or top 18 (33 or more). Final Table of 9 (8 for smaller fields). 10 points for a win. 8 for second, then 3rd 7 points, 4th 6 points & 5th gets 5 points. All other final table places receive 4 points. Seating is by random selection from Tournament Director. Player moves decided the same way. Final table positions and dealer button decided by TD too. Season 5 has 12 events culminating in a Champions Trophy event. We play every other Thursday, but keep checking back as dates may change during the Season.
